
Mohamed Mishal
Chair
Mohamed is an experienced management consultant working across the public and voluntary sectors. With a background in Social Care and Health, Mohamed has a strong understanding of designing, delivering and evaluating projects that support vulnerable groups. In a voluntary capacity, Mohamed has supported the development of a number of charitable organisations including developing youth organisations and a mentoring and advocacy programme for disadvantaged families, the homeless and victims of domestic abuse. Mohamed is also a Trustee of Sufra - NW London, a community food bank, where Al-Mizan Charitable Trust is a founding partner.

Aram Al-Mamouri
Secretary
Aram is a qualified pharmacist with a keen interest in tackling poverty whether at home or abroad. She has a solid background in management, training pharmacy staff and teams, and leading teams towards SMART goals and objectives. Following the completion of her Masters in Pharmacy, Aram went on to study a MA in International Development at the University of Birmingham.
She has undertaken two humanitarian deployments to Tanzania with a local charity that provides schools and orphanages with much needed supplies and improves safe living standards. Aram is very passionate about sustainability projects that lift people out of poverty, breaking the poverty cycle, and increasing the standard of living. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, exploring and learning about new cultures, history, and the arts.

Syed Mohamad Musa Naqvi
Trustee
Musa is an academic and freelance public sector consultant with strong experience in research, strategy development and social care policy. He has undertaken detailed qualitative and thematic analyses of public sector services and published reports with different government think tanks. His published reports include Patient Safety in Hospitals, Disability Hate Crime and Sexual Violence against Women. He is also Chair of the Islamic Unity Society.
He maintains a strong academic interest in women's rights and domestic violence issues as well as international development schemes. Musa is a graduate in Economics & Management from Brasenose College, University of Oxford. He is currently studying towards a Masters in Economics at the University of Manchester.

Zahid Iqbal
Trustee
Zahid is a qualified social worker and has experience working in different social care settings and with different client groups. Having worked in a residential setting, he has experience in working on a one-to-one basis with service users coming from acute mental health hospitals and integrating back into community settings. Zahid now works for a local authority where he has worked with young adults with learning disabilities transitioning from Children's Services to Adult Services, as well as working with older adults and adults with physical sensory impairments. Zahid has experience in assessing and reviewing needs as well as commissioning services to meet the needs of service users. Working in a local authority at a time with great financial pressures, Zahid has experience in working with charitable and voluntary organisations in order to support service users.
Zahid has a degree in Sociology and Criminology with a thesis looking at 'honour crimes' and their portrayal in written media. He went on to complete a Masters in Social Work and completed a thesis evaluating the 'personalisation agenda' in adult social care. Zahid is also a dodgeball champion, an award of which he is most proud.
