What can I apply for?

We offer a flexible Grants Policy that allows people, who are in financial hardship or need, because of poverty, deprivation, or disadvantage, to apply for any goods or services that would better their circumstances and situation.

People can apply for funding to help them access education or enter employment, through courses or resources. They could also apply for financial assistance towards essential household items or disability equipment. READ MORE

General Welfare Fund - Grants Policy

The General Welfare Fund provides small grants up to £500 to individuals, regardless of their faith or cultural background, who are in financial hardship or need, because of poverty, deprivation, or disadvantage.

Funding is available for a range of goods and services that would better the beneficiary’s circumstances and situation, and help them break out of the vicious cycle of poverty.

About Us

Al-Mizan Charitable Trust (charity no. 1135752) supports people living in poverty across the UK, regardless of their faith or cultural background. 

Although Britain is seen as a wealthy country, one in five people live below the official poverty line and struggle with the rising costs of living. The welfare state also does not provide access to skills and opportunities to help people better their circumstances or equip people with sufficient savings to deal with a life crisis or change in circumstances.
